This custom interior door package uses Querkus veneers imported from Belgium and are veneered on torsion box construction door cores, fabricated in house by Gestalt Works. Every door core was wrapped with poplar and solid inset oak to achieve a premium finish throughout the residence.
Every door was designed by Master Cabinetmaker Manfred Haas and built to specification by Gestalt Works. The collaboration allowed for every single door to fit as intended allowing for seamless integration with the negative 10mm reveals.
The project required a trim-less transition from door jamb to drywall, all jambs were constructed from solid poplar and allowed for a specialty manufactured mudstrip which created the negative reveal detail. The project schedule required jambs in advance of door cores so all jambs were fabricated and installed prior to the doors being made. With 2.5mm reveals from door slab to door jamb, Gestalt Works took extreme care to work to 0.5mm tolerances to achieve a perfect fit at installation.
